GKit Marketplace
How the GKit Marketplace works — discovering tools, submitting your own, and what gets verified.
The GKit Marketplace is a curated directory of tools built on or around Google Workspace. It brings together add-ons, Chrome extensions, Apps Script utilities, and third-party APIs in one place so you can find what you need without digging through the Chrome Web Store or scattered GitHub repos.
What the Marketplace Includes
The Marketplace covers six categories:
- Chrome Extensions — browser extensions that enhance Google Workspace apps like Gmail, Docs, and Sheets
- Workspace Add-ons — sidebar and contextual add-ons deployed through the Google Workspace Marketplace
- Apps Script — standalone scripts and libraries you can copy into your own projects
- Third-party APIs — external services with strong Google Workspace integrations (including GKit's own SheetsAPI)
- Productivity Scripts — lightweight automations that run via triggers or manually from the Apps Script editor
- Developer Tools — CLASSPATHs, type definitions, testing helpers, and other utilities for Workspace developers
Finding Tools
Browse the Marketplace by category from the main listings page. Each listing shows the tool's name, a short description, its category, and whether it carries the GKit Verified badge. Use the category filters to narrow results or scroll the full directory if you want to explore.
The GKit Verified Badge
A tool marked GKit Verified has been manually tested by the GKit team to confirm it works as advertised. Verification checks that the tool installs cleanly, performs its stated function, and does not request unnecessary permissions. Verified status is not a security audit — always review permissions before installing any third-party tool.
Unverified tools are still listed; they simply have not yet gone through the manual review process.
Submitting Your Tool
To submit a tool for inclusion, email marketplace@mreshank.com with the following:
- Tool name
- URL (Web Store link, GitHub repo, or landing page)
- Category (choose one from the list above)
- Brief description (two to four sentences explaining what it does and who it is for)
Submissions are reviewed manually. You can expect a response within one to three business days. If your tool is approved it will appear in the relevant category. If it is not approved you will receive a short note explaining why.
Submission Guidelines
Tools must meet these minimum criteria to be listed:
- Google Workspace related — the tool must integrate with, extend, or meaningfully support a Google Workspace product
- Functional — the tool must work at the time of submission; broken links or incomplete projects are declined
- Not spam or malware — tools that misrepresent their functionality, harvest data without disclosure, or exist solely to redirect traffic will not be listed and the submitting address may be blocked
If a listed tool stops working or violates the guidelines after approval, you can report it by replying to your original submission thread or emailing marketplace@mreshank.com with the tool name.
