Acceptable Use Policy

GKit is a tool for developers and power users who want to expose their own Google Sheets as APIs. This policy sets out what is and is not acceptable when using GKit.
Allowed use
- Accessing and exposing Google Sheets that you own or have explicit permission to use.
- Building personal projects, internal tools, or applications on top of your SheetsAPI endpoints.
- Using the API programmatically at a reasonable rate consistent with normal application use.
- Self-hosting GKit using the open source code under the MIT License.
Prohibited use
- Unauthorized access. Do not use GKit to access Google Sheets that belong to someone else without their knowledge and consent.
- Automated abuse. Do not send request volumes that are clearly designed to stress or disrupt the service rather than serve a genuine application need.
- Illegal content. Do not use GKit to store, transmit, or facilitate content that is illegal under applicable law.
- Reselling without disclosure. Do not resell GKit-powered endpoints as a standalone product without clearly disclosing to your customers that the underlying service is GKit.
- Circumventing controls. Do not attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or other technical controls in the GKit service.
- Violating Google's policies.Use of GKit must comply with Google's API Terms of Service and Google Workspace policies at all times.
Consequences
Accounts that violate this policy may be suspended or permanently terminated without notice, at our sole discretion. In cases of illegal activity we reserve the right to report the matter to relevant authorities.
