Frequently asked questions

Anything else? Ask us directly.

Will GKit always be free?

The beta tier will remain free indefinitely. When Pro launches, existing users get plenty of notice and grandfathered access to anything they rely on today - we won't pull the rug.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. Connect your Google account and you're in - no billing info needed, no trial period, no expiry.

What happens when the beta ends?

We'll announce a timeline well in advance. There'll be a free tier at or above current limits. Pro adds higher limits and team features for teams that need them.

What data do you store?

We store your Google account email, name, and OAuth tokens (encrypted at rest) so GKit products can act on your behalf. We don't read or store your Sheets data - queries go from the SheetsAPI worker straight to Google's API using your credentials.

Is there a row limit?

The beta tier supports up to 1,000 rows per list request. Pagination lets you page through larger sheets. Pro will raise this ceiling significantly.

Can I self-host GKit?

SheetsAPI is open source (Cloudflare Workers). You can deploy your own instance at no cost. The GKit hub is not currently open source, but the worker is MIT-licensed.

How do I cancel?

There's nothing to cancel - you're on a free plan. To remove your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This revokes GKit's Google OAuth access and purges your data.

Is GKit really free?

Yes. SheetsAPI and GDriveKit are completely free during beta. No credit card required, no usage limits.

What happens when beta ends?

We'll give at least 30 days notice before any pricing changes. Current beta users will receive a grandfathered discount.

Do you offer refunds?

Since GKit is free, there's nothing to refund. When paid plans launch, we'll offer a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Can I use GKit commercially?

Yes. GKit API keys and SheetsAPI can be used in production applications. See our Acceptable Use Policy for details.
